The YOUTH program is not an isolated E U initiative. Together with SOCRATES and LEONARDO DA VINCI, it is one of several programs aimed at creating a European area for education - both formal and non-formal - and vocational training. By offering activities focusing on a non-formal educational experience, the YOUTH program is entirely complementary to these other two major programs.
